Westwood Students are Citizen Scientists!
Today, our students participated in the 2026 Great Southeast Pollinator Census! During their 15-minute observations, students carefully watched blooming flowers, identified visiting pollinators, and recorded their findings to contribute to a larger citizen-science project across the Southeast.
We are especially thankful that the rain held off until this afternoon, allowing our young scientists to complete their counts in the garden! It was wonderful to see them learning outdoors, making real-world observations, and discovering the important role pollinators play in our environment.
