Today we celebrate Nadav Sachakov as the 7th grade student of the month for October. Nadav has been complimented on his kindness and his respectfulness to his teachers. His teachers love his ability to work hard in class. He is also very responsible. He even let his teachers know two weeks in advance that he was going to miss school. The Biology 1 students at Dixie High School have been studying genetics and heredity. Yesterday, the Greenwood Genetics Center visited and introduced them to career opportunities in genetics while providing hands-on experience with diagnostic testing technologies. Students practiced micropipetting and used gel electrophoresis to test human hemoglobin for sickle cell disease and the sickle cell trait.

Student registration for returning students will take place Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

✅ On-site registration will be available, but all tasks can also be completed online through the Parent Portal at home.
💻 Even on-site registration will be done digitally using school devices.
📌 No school tours or meet-the-teacher events will take place during registration.
📎 Schedules, lockers, parking passes, and supply lists will not be distributed at registration.
💵 Fees may be paid online via eFunds or on the first day of school.

Changes to Transportation Procedures for 2025-2026 School Year We are writing to inform you of an important change regarding student transportation for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. Diamond Hill Elementary will no longer serve as a drop-off or pick-up location for students attending Dixie High School. All Dixie High School students must board their assigned school bus at their designated home stop and ride directly to and from Dixie High School, or students can be car riders to Dixie High School. Only students enrolled at Diamond Hill Elementary will be permitted to be dropped off or picked up on this campus. This change is being made for safety purposes by reducing congestion and ensuring a smoother arrival and dismissal process for our elementary students. We understand that this may require adjustments to your family’s routine, and we encourage you to plan ahead. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the district office or the district transportation department for assistance. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain a safe and efficient school environment.
