Attention 7th and 8th Grade Families!
MAP Testing will take place on Monday, August 3, and Tuesday, August 4.
Help your student be prepared for success by:
✅ Getting a good night's sleep.
✅ Eating a healthy breakfast.
✅ Arriving at school by 7:50 a.m. (Classes begin at 8:00 a.m.)
✅ Encouraging them to take their time and do their very best!
MAP testing helps us measure student growth and provides valuable information to support learning throughout the school year.
We know our Hornets are going to do an amazing job! Best of luck to all of our 7th and 8th grade students! 💚
As we continue the school year, we want to remind everyone of our car rider procedures to help keep our students safe and traffic moving efficiently.
📍 Arrival & Dismissal
• All car riders should enter and exit campus using the Abbeville Street entrance.
• Please remain in the designated car rider line and follow the traffic pattern shown on the map.
• The speed limit in the car rider loop is 10 MPH.
🟨 Drop-Off & Pick-Up
• Students should only be dropped off and picked up in the designated loading zone.
• Pull forward as far as possible before stopping so multiple vehicles can load and unload at the same time.
• Have students ready to exit the vehicle quickly with all of their belongings.
• During afternoon dismissal, please remain in your vehicle while waiting for your student.
🅿️ Visitor Parking
Parents and visitors who need to enter the school should park in the Visitor Parking lot off Haynes Street and enter through the main entrance. Please do not use the car rider lane for parking or visiting the school.
🚫 Staff & Student Parking
The parking lot behind the school is reserved for staff and student parking only and is not open to the public during school hours.
✅ Helpful Reminders
• Have your student ready before reaching the drop-off area.
• Do not stop or park outside the designated loading zone.
• Do not pass other vehicles in the car rider line.
• Watch carefully for students, staff members, and pedestrians.
Your patience and cooperation help us provide a safe and efficient arrival and dismissal each day. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our Hornets safe! 💚
